Title: Storm 2003

Project Description:
This installation takes the form of a large back-projection screen onto which a different image each day is projected using a high resolution, medium format slide projector.
The images were made in collaboration with the botanist and plant ecologist Dr Hugh Ingram. A number of sites throughout Scotland were visited and the images made reveal unique ecological circumstances: rich layers of information and interactions between vast expanses of time, geological conditions, weather systems, and habitat.

The images are accompanied by two layers of sound combining an enveloping tone that fills the space, together with a human voice, located closer to the work, that observes and comments on the geological events that have taken place to bring about this landscape.
