Title: Genus 2003

Project Description:
An endless stream of images moving from left to right across the entire length of the space, human beings caught in the midst of activities, hundreds of decisive moments, each moment, each image having been made to reveal something; something that says this is who we are. Collectively the work shows us as a species in our habitat, the earth, portraying a genus capable of great imagination and tenderness, yet capable of numbing cruelty and ugliness.

Genus is the culmination of Dalziel + Scullions Fellowship with the NMPFT, during which time they collated hundreds of images from the museums archive to create this work.
